At Plataran Dharmawangsa, which is located in the affluent Kebayoran Baru area, you may sample genuine Indonesian food in a setting reminiscent of Javanese royalty. Since opening, the restaurant has received numerous accolades and awards, including the title of "Best Indonesian Restaurant in Jakarta" from the esteemed Indonesia Tatler. It is now the preferred dining spot for Jakarta's elite and expat population. With a comfortable and energizing atmosphere typical of the affluent Dharmawangsa feel, this private venue and dining location has a space of 1,500m2 (excluding parking area).
The restaurant features a 150-year-old wooden heritage Joglo house, wooden Javanese pavilions, a prayer house that is more than 50 years old, and an elegant glass-roofed conservatory that looks out onto a lovely tempo doeloe-style garden, which is typical of homes in this exclusive area. The restaurant was designed to resemble a traditional royal Javanese family compound. All dining rooms at Plataran Dharmawangsa have space for 50 diners at a table or 70 standing, as well as a special Surau facility for praying. They are also fully furnished to the standards of luxury hotels and resorts around the world.
